On Wednesday, McGraw-Hill Education laid off 27 employees from its office in Dubuque.

McGraw-Hill Education Media Relations Director Brian Belardi said the Dubuque lay-offs are part of a reduction in work force of 60 people company-wide.

Belardi says the company found ways to create efficiencies in multiple departments. The company, he added, is still committed to the Dubuque market.
