A North Liberty man is accused of driving with a blood-alcohol content nearly five times the legal limit.
According to a Coralville police criminal complaint, officers were notified of an erratic driver shortly before 1 a.m. Tuesday. Police found 52-year-old Glenn H. Schoeb in a parking lot at 3273 Ridgeway Dr.
Police said Schoeb smelled strongly of alcohol and showed several signs of intoxication. He admitted to drinking before driving, police said.
Schoeb failed the one field sobriety test and refused to participate in any other test. A breath test showed Schoeb had a blood-alcohol content of .377 percent, more than four times the legal limit — .08 percent — to operate a motor vehicle in Iowa.
Police charged Schoeb with second-offense drunken-driving. He was convicted of drunken driving in Linn County in July, police said.
