Marian Catholic (Ill.) point guard Tyler Ulis is scheduled to make his verbal commitment Friday night before his school plays a home football game, according to High School Cube News, which is powered by the Chicago Sun-Times.
Ulis, who stands 5-foot-8, is rated a four-star recruit by Rivals (No. 33 overall) and the nation’s 29th-best player by Scout. He’s down to three schools: Iowa, Kentucky and Michigan State. Ulis has taken official visits to all three schools in the last two weeks.
The Chicago Tribune reported today Ulis is likely to decide between Iowa and Kentucky. Ulis, who was a first-team all-state selection by the Tribune, is described as a top-notch ballhandler, distributor, defender and scorer.
The website plans to stream Ulis’ announcement live at 7:20 p.m. Friday.
