The Iowa State Patrol said a man died in a crash near the Iowa County-Keokuk County line just before 2 a.m. Thursday.
According to ISP reports, an Iowa County sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a motorcyclist who was speeding. The driver drove away from the deputy, went around a curve on a gravel road and lost control.
Officials identified the driver as 25-year-old Tucker Morrison of North English. Morrison drove his motorcycle into a ditch off Highway 149. He was thrown from the motorcycle when it flipped in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report.
