IOWA CITY — New features are almost surely coming Kinnick Stadium’s way.
A big-boy video screen, and one of the ribbons you see at so many stadiums and arenas now.

The render of the ribbon board is quite hilarious with the Carver-Hawkeye Arena number of empty seats.
If they leave it full screen during the game it will be nice. Put the ads and stats up on TV time-outs.
Obviously this is pregame bro
Adam, I think you mean the “Former” Carver-Hawkeye Arena number of empty seats. Carver hasn’t been that empty for a while, & won’t be again for a long time!
I was under the impression there would be a new video board and not the two crappy ones.
Adam. Sorry that you can’t see the look of confusion on my face. What does the ribbon board proposal in typically sold out Kinnick Stadium have to do with empty seats in Carver Hawkeye Arena? And anyway I think we are all expecting an even more improved basketball product next year which should equate to very few empty Carver Hawkeye seats. I’m all for it as long as its not done at the expense of the already burdened tax payers.
Is sarcasm and negativity the only thing we can communicate any more?? My gosh…how about the awesome upgrade and positive effect this will have on a lot of fronts, one being recruiting (which is huge for Iowa). Atmosphere and the overall feeling a kid gets from a gameday experience on a visit goes a long way in influencing recruits. I’m not saying this is going to make recruiting go through the roof, but in today’s recruiting wars, it helps. Sarcasm…is that all we have???
That’s Kinnick, buddy. Obviously the picture is from a pre-game warm up.
