Package removed from area near Kinnick Stadium
A member of the Johnson County Bomb Squad examines the contents of a suspicious package near a parking lot north of Kinnick Stadium Monday, April 22, 2013 in Iowa City. Police responded to the scene late Monday morning, where a box was found in the north parking lot. The Iowa City Bomb Squad responded to the scene, and a member of the the squad opened the package and determined it was not dangerous. The area was reopened shortly after noon. Officials said Monday afternoon the box contained a box of tea, ginger, and a greeting card.(Brian Ray/The Gazette)
