Stony Brook thought it played Iowa in Des Moines

Seawolves got a little mixed up, but were quick to fix error

Friday’s Stony Brook-Iowa game is in Iowa City. Not Des Moines.

The Seawolves had two days to correct the above mistake. They had it fixed by 9:45 p.m., CT, Wednesday. Which shows this program can adapt quickly. Hey, it’s 25-7. Pretty, pretty good.

For an hour or so on Stony Brook’s basketball website Wednesday night, it listed its second-round NIT game against Iowa as being in Des Moines. In two different places. The game obviously will be played at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City.

Maybe the Seawolves’ webbies were still giddy about their team’s 71-58 upset win at Massachusetts Wednesday night.

As they say in the United Kingdom, keep calm and carry on.

But it’s in Iowa City, fellas. I think.
