  1. A few questions:

    1. Could you see Uthoff stealing a starting spot from Aaron White or would Fran ever consider Uthoff or White at the 4? Do they have that flexibility or are they 3s?

    2. Could Gabe and Woody start together for a “twin towers” sort of look? Given that Mel is streaky and might play his way out.

    3. When is the last time Iowa has ever had this type of towering hoopyballers? 1. PGs are smallish/average, but.. 2. Marble/Jok (6′ 7″) 3. White/Uthoff (6′ 8″- 6′ 10″) 4. Olaseni (6′ 10″- 11″) 5. Woody (7′ 1″). That’s an incredibly intimidating line up.

    • 1. It’ll be interesting to gauge Uthoff’s position flexibility. I’m guessing it’s going to be pretty high.

      2. That would put the onus on Gabe to develop more offense. He’ll be a junior already next season. I think Fran will play to his strengths and keep him a 5.

      3. I was thinking Michael Payne and Greg Stokes, but I don’t think those guards were as tall.

You’re right, it could be intimidating. You have to like the way Iowa grew some teeth on defense at the end of the season.
