Animals deserve quality food

Regarding the Feb. 25 story “Sawdust cattle feed: Spinning straw into gold”: Is there no end to man’s inhumanity? Thirty years ago, tests showed very low feed value in sawdust.

Cows are grazers. They eat grass (hay). If they are standing in a feed lot up to their knees in mud, I’m sure they will eat whatever they can. This is no way to treat animals.

I’m ashamed of my fellow man when I read of how someone has found another way to mistreat animals.
