Charities don’t need money born of vice

Several years ago, a man started a Humane Society in Muscatine. Some teenage boys broke in and killed many cats. In an interview on Iowa Public Television, the owner said he had received money from people from all over the United States. One city had by far the largest number of individuals who responded. He said it was Cedar Rapids.

Charities in this area don’t need contributions from the vice of gambling. Gambling is based on greed and the fear of not having enough.

What Linn County needs is for God’s people to humble themselves and pray.
