Six local governments in Iowa, including the city of Iowa City and Johnson County, have won “Sunny Awards” for government transparency.

Iowa City was joined by Davenport and the Sioux City school district in receiving A+ grades from Sunshine Review, a national nonprofit organization, for having transparent websites. Johnson County, Scott County and the West Des Moines school district got grades of A-.
