Why don’t some people want background checks for everyone before they can buy a gun? The National Rifle Association quotes 130,000 failed checks but fewer than 30 convicted. Where do they get the numbers when years ago Congress passed a law forbidding federal research about gun control?

Just because you fail a check, you are not automatically charged with something. If you want to prevent criminals from buying guns, make a federal law to keep track of all who buy guns and those who should not.

Gun buybacks might help reduce some accidental deaths. The gun and ammo makers may not like the decrease in sales, but there are plenty of wars and uprisings around the world for them to sell to.

Why are some people against red light cameras? Do you break the law and not want the fine? There are not enough police to prevent all red light running or speeding. If you want to fight public cameras, then fight to stop store security cameras, or camera phones, too.

Seems these laws do not harm you, unless you are a criminal.
