Three Cedar Rapids firefighters will be participating in the American Lung Association’s Fight for Air Climb on Sunday, April 7 in Des Moines.

Cedar Rapids Firefighters Jeremy LaRoche, Neil Gerot, and Dustin Fordice will climb their way to the top of one, two or three buildings in Des Moines (EMC Insurance Companies, Hub Tower, and the Des Moines Marriott Downtown). For the Fire Department Relay Challenge, teams of three firefighters will compete for the title of fastest fire department (one for volunteer departments and one for career department). The relay challenge is performed in full firefighting gear.

The Fight for Air Climb raises awareness and funds in support of the American Lung Association’s dedication to improving lung health and preventing lung disease.
