If Sen. Chuck Grassley goes for re-election, I urge Iowans to remember that during February he voted against extending the protections afforded under the Violence Against Women Act. It is shameful that Grassley chooses to be on the wrong side of this issue. He does not represent Iowa in this respect.

Conversely, I applaud Sen. Tom Harkin for voting yes on this bill to allow continued protection under this law.
