This week’s Mike Hlas Podcast is with Rus Bradburd, who spent 14 years as a Division I men’s basketball assistant coach at Texas-El Paso and New Mexico State before transitioning to a career as a writer and a teacher.

Rus talks about his recently-released novel “Make It, Take It,” set inside the world of a fictional major-college basketball program. He also discusses the fickle and often crazy world of recruiting, and what he sees as the questionable role of basketball at major universities.
