I had the profound privilege of experiencing “The Mercy Touch.” I am much better because of my care at Mercy Medical Center. Mercy is a piece of heaven. The nurses turned cart wheels to make me better. They run their legs off for all their patients.
As for the wonderful cafeteria. I thought I was at an high-class restaurant. I was told much of the expertise was taught at Kirkwood Culinary College. They deserve an A-plus rating.
At Mercy, I was treated with utmost respect. When I was scared and cried, a nurse calmed me. When I left the hospital, I thanked God for Medicare. Being old and widowed is hard, but knowing there’s a place to go to be healed with love, compassion and empathy gives me much comfort and security.
