I am not a gambler, but I see many benefits that a casino could bring. The individual investors’ names that were printed in The Gazette: I know many of them either personally or in business. They are very credible people.

Yes, they will and should benefit from their investment just like anyone reading this expects a return on their money, and we all know the higher the risk, the higher the potential returns, with no guarantees.

My family moved from the Dubuque area to Cedar Rapids decades ago because it was far more vibrant and alive. Today, I would say Dubuque is much more vibrant because of the casino and what it has done for its community. I want the same for Cedar Rapids.
