To all the naysayers of our community: I can’t believe that you want to stop Cedar Rapids from being a progressive city. A casino here would bring in much needed tax money for Linn County and all the towns in it. We have some of the worst streets in Iowa and this would provide money for repairs.

To vote no because you don’t know who will manage it, it’s stupid. If someone invests quite a bit of money in the casino, you can bet they will be concerned with the experience or qualifications of a manager. This is a positive venture for our whole community.
