Vote yes, help shift casino problems

To the good folks of Linn County. I beg of you please, please vote yes on Tuesday for a casino in Cedar Rapids. I detest gambling and what it has done to our society.

For nearly 20 years I have actively opposed gambling in my little hometown of Marquette. Back when our group was trying to keep the “Plastic House of Greed” out of Clayton County, we had absolutely no support from the media. With that said, today I plead with you to vote yes. Vote yes so then a Cedar Rapids gambling facility could suck a bunch of the “casino trash” out of Marquette.

Hopefully at some point thereafter we could then watch the eyesore in Marquette float down the river for good.
