I want to know why people in Linn County are saying no to jobs. This past election, political candidates from both parties campaigned on the platform of more jobs. Why? Because more jobs mean less people are unemployed and more jobs boost the economy.
I am sure if you asked Linn County residents, an overwhelmingly majority would be in favor of increased job opportunities. That is why I cannot understand why anyone would vote no (to gambling) on Tuesday.
Voting no is saying no to jobs. Voting no says no to more money for charities. Worst of all, voting no sends a message to the unemployed that you don’t care about them. That’s why I am voting yes.
