Mount Mercy celebrating Student Engagement and Philanthropy Week

Mount Mercy University is celebrating Student Engagement & Philanthropy Week. The university will join more than 375 other educational institutions for its first Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day Thursday, February 28. On this day students across the world participate in activities that demonstrate gratitude for donors, faculty and staff, as well as create a stronger community on campus.

Activities at Mount Mercy will include:

Take Time to Help Tuesday

Volunteers are placing tags on various campus buildings, classrooms and campus features

that have been funded through donations to the university.

Worship Wednesday

Mass will take place at 12:05 p.m. in the Chapel of Mercy with hot cider and cookies provided in the lobby afterwards.

Tag Day Thursday

A Student Scholarship Appreciation Luncheon will be held for scholarship recipients and donors. (This event is by invitation only.)

Philanthropy Friday

Money collected in the student piggy banks can be turned in between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the University Center. Snacks and games will also be available.
