I want to publicly thank Steve Gray for his vision and hard work to bring a casino to our city that will have a positive impact right here in Linn County. To put himself under the scrutiny of the public for the betterment of the community is much appreciated by many. To be under personal attack by other casino people who I doubt have met him or his family is an outrage. It is such hypocrisy to see these attacks against him and his cause being so blatantly misrepresented by the casino-driven businesses outside Linn County.

It is a travesty to see them attack an individual who is for growth and revitalization for Cedar Rapids. To have no other defense than to make personal attacks against him, especially with misguided information to our residents, is not in the best interest of all Linn County and its great folks.

I have confidence in the residents of Linn County that they will see through the negative untruths and will understand this is more than a vote for a casino — this is a vote yes for Linn County.
