CEDAR RAPIDS — Mount Mercy rolled past AIB in a Midwest Collegiate Conference tournament quarterfinal, 96-53, Wednesday night at Hennessey Recreation Center.
The Mustangs, 10th-ranked and second-seeded in the tournament, improved to 26-4 overall. AIB ended its season at 1-30.
Mount Mercy will play host to sixth-seeded St. Ambrose at 7 p.m. Friday in a semifinal.
Three players scored in double figures for Mount Mercy, which led 43-28 at halftime. Lamar Wood scored 18 points, Chad Underwood 17 and Alex Coleman 11. LaDon Singleton led the team with 10 rebounds.
