IOWA CITY -- Iowa and Nebraska officials agreed to postpone Thursday's game in Lincoln until Saturday because of an impending snowstorm expected to pound eastern Nebraska beginning Thursday.

The schools will play at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Devaney Center. The game originally was scheduled for 8 p.m. Thursday on ESPN2.

Right now the game does not have television coverage. The ESPN family of networks has a full booking that weekend, so it will not be able to carry the game. BTN spokeswoman Elizabeth Conlisk said the network is "exploring" whether or not it could air the game. Big Ten senior associate commissioner Mark Rudner said getting a television crew and the operations truck to Lincoln in a snowstorm could prove problematic.

"I think it's too early right now to say what the solution will be for television coverage," said Rudner, the league's television administrator.

In the make-up time slot, BTN airs two women's basketball games. Wisconsin-Northwestern women open the day at noon and Indiana-Illinois follow at 2 p.m.

Iowa (17-9, 6-7 Big Ten) is on a three-game winning streak. Nebraska is 12-14 overall, 3-10 in league play. The teams split their meetings a year ago.

Iowa's last postponed game was Feb. 14, 2007, when Northwestern could not travel to Iowa City in an ice storm. The game was placed the next day as part of a doubleheader, shifting the women's game to the late time slot. Iowa's men beat Northwestern 66-58.
