The University of Northern Iowa will host a campus reception Feb. 28 for incoming President William Ruud.

The welcome reception for Ruud will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center lobby. A short program will begin at 4:15 p.m.

Ruud was recently selected to succeed UNI President Ben Allen, who is retiring.

The Greater Cedar Valley Alliance and Chamber will host a community-wide welcome event for the Ruuds this summer, UNI officials said.
