New Hires

The National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library hired Charity Tyler (see photo) as director of national development. Tyler was the Ladies Titan Tire Challenge sponsorship chairwoman for three years and has held leadership roles in the Junior League of Cedar Rapids and Impact CR.

Dr. David Strickler (see photo) has joined Associated Chiropractic & Wellness in Cedar Rapids. Strickler specializes in Gonstead Chiropractic, soft tissue, nutrition and Kinesiotaping (RockTape).

GreatAmerica Financial Services of Cedar Rapids hired Allison Kea (see photo), previously with US Bank, as booking specialist and Ashley O’Brien (see photo), who had been with Banacom Signs, as account support adviser.

Infinity Contact in Cedar Rapids announced several staff additions: Andrew Elwood (see photo) joined as data & research analyst, Shay Libe (see photo) as recruiter, Jamie Hobbs (see photo) as sales manager, Greg Best (see photo) as chief information officer, and Dave Paulson (see photo) as director of business development.

Derek Tharp (see photo) joined Mote Wealth Management, Fee-Only Financial Planning, as wealth manager. Tharp was formerly with Regent Atlantic in Morristown, N.J.

TrueNorth in Cedar Rapids hired Melissa Tillotson (see photo) as service manager in the risk management division, Sam Pape (see photo) as account manager in the employee benefits division, Julia Gharib (see photo) as service manager in the employee benefits division, Aaron Voss (see photo) as IT infrastructure lead in the technology department, Harm Olthouse (see photo) as enrollment specialist in the transportation division, and Diana Huff (see photo) as account manager in the transportation division.

LimoLink Inc. of Marion has added Angela Kosek as a market tech in the Ground Management Team. Morgan Driscoll, Ashley Glass (see photo) and Danielle Heaton (see photo) have all joined the Client Services team, and Benjamin Rietveld and Anthony Long are now part of the LimoLink Sales team as client account managers.

Promotions

Layne Goldsberry (see photo) was promoted to data and research analyst at Infinity Contact. Goldsberry was most recently team lead.

Board members

Dr. Robin Barnett (see photo) was installed as president of the Iowa Academy of Family Physicians. Barnett provides care for Mercy Medical Center employees at the Employee Health Center in Cedar Rapids.

The Iowa Small Business Development Center elected Steve Lacina of Tipton as a members of it State Advisory Board. Lacina is a business programs specialist for Rural Development for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in its Tipton office.

The Linn County Conservation Board elected new board members: Lu Barron (see photo), Linn County Board of Supervisors, president; Mike Wyrick, Compass Advertising, vice president; George Kanz, Shive Hattery; Kristin Eschweiler, McGrath Automotive, secretary; and Hillary Hughes, Prairie Capital Advisors.

The H.D. Youth Center with Soul Food announced new board members as Henry Davison, executive officer; Russ Swart, president; Spering Scott, vice president; Elsie Lewis, treasurer; Eric Hansen, secretary; Craig McCormick, board member; Lee Ola Anders, courtesy helper; and John Marurice, finance adviser.

Brad Hart (see photo), shareholder with Bradley & Riley, was named Cedar Rapids Best Lawyers-Corporate Lawyer of the Year for 2013 by Best Lawyers. Donald Thompson (see photo), attorney and shareholder, was named to the Top 100 Trial Lawyers. Kelly Baier (see photo), attorney and shareholder, was selected as one of the 2012 top 10 attorneys in Iowa by Super Lawyers.

At Ruhl&Ruhl Realtors in Iowa City, Lisa Lynes received the Top Lister Award, Top Sales Award and the AHS Home Warranty Award; Rich Hatch received the Excellence in Service Award for the highest client service ratings in the office and the Top 1862 Mortgage Award; Emilie Blindt received the Top Nelson Brothers Agency Award and the New Associate of the Year Award; and Paul Ellis won the Top Referral Associate Award.

Darrell Cannon, owner of Cannon Auction Service in Palo, was inducted into the Iowa Auctioneers Hall of Fame.
