No. 14 Cornell used a balanced attack to cash in for its 20th win of the season. The Rams improved to 15-1 in conference, 20-1 overall.
Four players reached double figure for Cornell, with Rikki Mulloy’s 18 leading the way. All 12 Rams that played scored. In addition to having four players in double figures, Cornell had seven with at least seven.
Cornell outscored Lawrence 51-19 in the second half. The Rams nearly shot 60 percent in the second half.
That came after a first half that was fairly close until Cornell closed the half on a 7-0 run to push its lead to 14.
WILLIAM PENN 72, MOUNT MERCY 70
KIRKWOOD 87, MARSHALLTOWN 38
The third-ranked Eagles improved to 12-0 in conference play with the blowout win. Kirkwood eclipsed 40 points in the first and second halves, while Marshalltown scored 19 in both.
Whitney Rohrbach paced Kirkwood with 16 points. Alexis Fitzpatrick came one rebound shy of a double-double finishing with 11 and nine.
WARTBURG 77, COE 70
In a game that’s largest margin was 12, Coe never managed to permanently erase the deficit. The Kohawks led three times in the game for a total of 75 seconds, and never for more than 29 seconds.Mary Halvorson paced Coe with 15 points on 7 of 13 shooting. She was the only Kohawk to reach double digits.
