It certainly won't go down as the prettiest game of basketball played this year, but through the slop of a low-scoring game, UNI got points in one big bunch and beat Missouri State 48-37 on Tuesday night at the McLeod Center.

The Panthers (13-11, 6-6 Missouri Valley Conference) trailed 29-26 with little more than 10 minutes remaining in the game before a Jake Koch dunk withi 8:39 left in the game helped spark a 14-2 run and gave UNI the lead for good.

The Bears (7-17, 5-7 MVC) shot just 15 of 55 from the field (3 of 21 from 3-point range) and recorded their lowest point total of the season in the loss.

Anthony James led the Panthers with 14 points (6 of 6 from the free throw line) and 10 rebounds. James and Jake Koch (11 points) were the only players who scored in double-figures in the game.

Northern Iowa plays at Bradley Sunday, less than a month after blitzing the Braves 84-53 in Cedar Falls.

The Panthers are 2-5 in true road games this season.
