A 22-year-old inmate has been listed as escaped from a work release facility in Cedar Rapids.

The Iowa Corrections Department says James Kummerfeldt didn't return as scheduled from his job on Monday. He was transferred to the facility on Nov. 20.

Kummerfeldt's original sentence began on Jan. 27, 2009. He'd been convicted of burglary and of causing willful injury in Linn County.
