Cedar Rapids City Council member Kris Gulick has been appointed to a committee focusing on public finance with the National League of Cities.

Gulick, a certified public accountant and business consultant who is in his eighth year as a council member, is immediate past president of the Iowa League Cities.

His new post is on the National League of Cities’ Finance, Administration & Intergovernmental Relations Policy and Advocacy Committee. League President Marie Lopez Rogers, the mayor of Avondale, Ariz., selected Gulick for the committee.
