Was driver’s name necessary in story?

On Jan. 19, a great article (“Iowans remember”) was published in The Gazette in honor of Chris Street, written by Scott Dochterman.

We all know the accident was a great tragedy, resulting in the loss of a wonderful human being. However, was it necessary to name the driver of the snowplow, rekindling the heartache and grief for him and his family? After all, he was not found guilty of any wrongdoing. Wouldn’t this article have been just as complete without the mention of his name?
