It’s official: Mark Gronemeyer is no longer the principal at Prairie High School.

The College Community School Board approved Gronemeyer’s resignation at a special meeting Friday afternoon. He will spend the rest of the year as the College Community School District’s secondary curriculum specialist.

The board also approved Erik Anderson, former Prairie High School associate principal, to serve as the building’s new principal. Retired associate principal Dan Bubon will return to the high school to fulfill Anderson’s past role, but Superintendent John Speer said little will change in terms of duties and job descriptions for the two high school administrators.

Gronemeyer was not present at the noon meeting.
