Linn County officials are advising the public that roadway conditions remain hazardous in places, and drivers should use extreme caution.

A news release from the Linn County Sheriff’s Office said that blowing snow is creating black ice conditions in many locations. Officials suggest driving at reduced speeds, allowing plenty of time to get to a destination and leaving distance between vehicles to be able to stop safely.

The tow ban remains in effect for Linn County, except in cases where the vehicle poses a traffic hazard.
