Spring break camps are back at the Cedar Rapids Science Center for grades 1-4. Camps are offered March 12-14 and March 19-21. Campers can participate in half day ($20) or full day sessions ($35) as well as before and after care services.
There are three daily themes offered each week:
• Dragons and Castles: Kids can get a taste of life during the Middle Ages. They will create their own dragons and medieval swords, storm the castle, and fight off dragons.
• Fizz Up: Make fantastic fizzes, goopy goos, and slimy surprises, all from ingredients found in household cupboards.
• Magic: Kids can create their own magic show with optical illusions, math tricks, and more.
For more information or to download the registration form visit www.crsciencecenter.org. Registration deadline is March 1, 2013 and RSVP is required. Snacks will be provided, but all day campers should bring their own sack lunch from home.
The Science Center is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 5pm and Sunday noon to 5pm. Admission during public hours is $3.00. Located at Lindale Mall, the museum has ample parking and is conveniently located between First Avenue and Collins Road.
