Wireless broadband provider SpeedConnect High-Speed Internet announced it will add 300 Mbs of data bandwidth to Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois markets by next week.

Citing market expansion and customer demand, the company’s general manager, Tony Lounsberry said the addition will improve the current service as well as lock in future growth.

Parts of Eastern Iowa, including Vinton, Cedar Rapids, Marion, Iowa City, and the Quad Cities, Port Byron, Sherrard and Fyre Lake in Illinois will see improvements in existing service coverage.

Lounsberry said, “Customers will be able to stream movies, TV, and gaming applications at peak user times without any buffering, and the upgrade allows for many more users to do the same.”
