Fingerprints, Cedar Rapids Washington High School’s student-produced literary magazine, received the rank of “Excellent” in the 2012 “Program to Recognize Excellence in Student Literary Magazines.” Fingerprints was one of only two high school literary magazines in Iowa recognized by the “Program to Recognize Excellence.”

The “Program to Recognize Excellence” is sponsored by the National Council of Teachers of English. The program’s mission is to encourage all schools to develop literary magazines. This year 174 literary magazines from schools across America received the rank of “Excellent.”
