On Monday, January 21, 2013, United Way, Coe College, Mt. Mercy University, Goodwill, and Evergreen Packaging held a food drive for HACAP Food Reservoir. The food drive gave the community a way to give back and honor Dr. King’s legacy on his day of service.

All together the sites collected 2,063 pounds of food! That is enough for 1,719 meals!

Food Sculptures:

After all of the food was collected United Way, Coe, Mt. Mercy, and Goodwill built “sculptures” out of their donated food items! Check them out on our Facebook page or in the gallery below and tell us which one you like the most!
