An all-school assembly honoring the AP Scholars and the Anna Purna Ghosh Advanced Placement Incentive Program recipients is being held at Kennedy High School on Thursday, January 24, at 9:30 a.m.

More than 180 students met criteria for AP Scholar recognition after completing exams in May, 2012. The criterion for recognition is established by the College Board out of Princeton, New Jersey.

In addition to AP Scholars recognition, students involved in the Anna Purna Ghosh Incentive program will also be honored. The Anna Purna Ghosh Incentive program is funded by Dr. Chirantan Ghosh, a local oncologist, and was established to promote the completing of AP courses while in high school. Approximately 242 students earned reimbursement for AP exam fees through the Ghosh program.

All students at Kennedy will attend the recognition ceremony.
