Happiness Inc. earns Grand Championship honors at Linn-Mar

Kennedy High School’s Happiness, Inc. earned the Grand Championship honors at the Linn-Mar Supernova competition held Saturday, January 12, 2013. The varsity group outscored seven other groups to earn the recognition. In addition to the Championship, Happiness also earned Best Vocals and Best Choreography at the event.

Kennedy’s prep choir, Protege, earned 1st place in the prep division and, with that honor, earned the right to perform as an exhibition group to kick off the night round. Protege also earned caption awards of Best Vocals and Best Choreography. Shelby Benion is the vocalist earning the Best Female Soloist award.

The freshmen group from Kennedy, Chanteurs, competed in the prep division and earned 3rd place, outscoring several other show choirs.

The Kennedy show choirs will compete at Muscatine on Saturday, January 19.
