Iowa’s Marble out with ankle injury; May starts

IOWA CITY — Iowa junior Devyn Marble is doubtful to play tonight against No. 22 Michigan State after spraining his ankle in practice earlier this week.

Marble leads the Hawkeyes in scoring at 15.5 points a game. He also leads in minutes at 30.9 per game.

Senior Eric May will start in Marble’s place. May, who has 69 previous starts in his Iowa career, averages 16.3 minutes a game and 3.7 points.

Iowa (11-4, 0-2 Big Ten) plays at Northwestern on Sunday.
