New MercyCare Urgent Care clinic to open in North Liberty

MercyCare Community Physicians announces the addition of an Urgent Care clinic to MercyCare North Liberty, an established family practice clinic, located at 1765 Lininger Lane. MercyCare Urgent Care North Liberty will begin seeing patients Jan. 7.

MercyCare Urgent Care North Liberty will serve walk-in patients weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturdays, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. To reach MercyCare Urgent Care North Liberty, patients may call (319) 665-3073.

The medical director for MercyCare Urgent Care North Liberty will be Thomas Serbousek, MD. Dr. Serbousek received his medical degree from the University Of Iowa College Of Medicine and completed his residency with the Cedar Rapids Medical Education Foundation. Dr. Serbousek also serves as medical director for MercyCare Urgent Care Marion and is board certified in family medicine and board eligible in emergency medicine.

MercyCare Urgent Care North Liberty will also welcome two new mid-level providers: Anneka Heise, ARNP, and Shellie O’Brien-Perry, ARNP.

Anneka Heise received her Master of Science in Nursing from Allen College. Most recently she worked at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, IA. Anneka is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a member of the Pi Kappa chapter of Sigma Theta Tau. Her medical interests include urgent care, pediatrics and cardiology.

Shellie O’Brien-Perry received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Iowa. Most recently, she worked for Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, IA. Shellie is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Her medical interests include pediatrics, adolescent and women’s health.

MercyCare North Liberty Urgent Care is part of MercyCare Community Physicians (MCCP). MCCP is composed of 13 family practice clinics in the Cedar Rapids metro area, as well as Center Point, Monticello, Mount Vernon, North Liberty and Tama. Four urgent care facilities and three specialty clinics are also part of the MCCP system. Established in 1995, MCCP is affiliated with Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids.
