Iowa improved to 12-0 with wins over Ohio State and Purdue

The University of Iowa moved into third in Wrestling Insider Newsmagazine’s latest NCAA Division I tournament rankings. Iowa has six wrestlers in the top eight, trailing upcoming foe Oklahoma State by 1.5 points. Both are a distant second and third behind top-ranked and two-time defending NCAA champion Penn State.

Iowa moved from fourth to third in the dual rankings, trailing Penn State and Oklahoma State. The Hawkeyes improved t 12-0 with a 22-9 win over Ohio State on Friday and Sunday’s 29-9 win over Purdue.

University of Northern Iowa tied for 24th with Wisconsin and North Dakota State University. Iowa State is tied with Indiana for 37th. Neither UNI, nor ISU are in the dual rankings top 20.
