Let's put God back in school

We hear of shooters in schools, factories, malls and other places. These are terrible things done by people who are not at that time in their right mind.

So to combat these people, we want to have more laws to restrict guns, we want to put guards with guns in schools, let teachers carry guns in school, and we have other ideas that we think will keep our children safe.

I have yet to hear of putting God back in school (except for what Gary Fischer from Iowa City wrote Dec. 19 “God’s presence missing in our lives” and I agree with him.)

Our society has taken God out of schools. No, we cannot pray openly in school and we cannot have the Ten Commandments posted on government property.

What happened to our nation? This country was founded on God and for years it has been the greatest nation on earth. Now we seem to have thrown God to the dogs and we only want to fulfill our own lusts.

Read Leviticus chapter 26 in the Bible and make your own decision.
