Numbing news about youths

I have seen, read and heard about much hand-wringing surrounding the terrible, horrific deaths of the students and adults in Newtown, Conn. It is numbing.

A Dec. 27 letter (“Outdated: Second Amendment,” by Jeremy Brigham) pointed out that maybe it is time to revisit the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

It struck me that we as a country have allowed more than 50 million babies to die via abortions in the last 40 years. It is numbing. And tragic.
