New hires

GreatAmerica Financial Services added Tyler McDermott (see photo) as a credit analyst.

Stamats Communications hired two additions to its Meetings Focus Division: Jessica-Leigh Arends (see photo), formerly with Clarion Inn, as program coordinator; Steve Maxfield (see photo), formerly with PFG Best in Cedar Falls, as brand marketing specialist.

Justin Parker (see photo) has joined U.S. Bank as a private client relationship manager in Iowa City.

Promotions

Christina Kirchmann (see photo) was appointed procurement supervisor at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Kirchmann most recently was a cost-savings specialist with Mercy’s Materials Management Department.

MidWestOne Bank promoted Lia Lovelace (see photo) to second vice president and trust officer and Corey Phillips (see photo) to second vice president.

Stamats Communications has promoted Mark Keele (see photo) to principal designer in its ESG Division. He had been a senior designer.

The Iowa Cultural Corridor Alliance announced the election of three new members to the board of directors: Deb Dunkhase (see photo), Iowa Children’s Museum; Lynn Koos (see photo), African American Museum of Iowa; and Lisa Schreihart (see photo), Prairie Voices Productions.

Certifications

Sarah Coleman (see photo) of Martin Design in Marion received her architectural license in the state of Iowa.

SecurityCoverage, a security software developer in Cedar Rapids, was named an Approved Partner of the National Cable Television Cooperative.

Awards

CEC in Hiawatha was named to the 2012 Top 50 Systems Integrators list released by Systems Contractor News.

Linn County Conservation board member Tom Peffer (see photo) was awarded a Distinguished Board Member Award. During his five-year tenure, he held the offices of secretary, vice president and president.

Ryan Bosch (see photo), a financial professional with AXA Advisors-Cedar Rapids Bosch Financial Inc. branch office, was named one of the four Under 40 Award Winners by NAIFA-Iowa.

Knutson Construction in Iowa City has earned the ENR Midwest’s Best Projects Award of Merit for the Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Ruhl&Ruhl Realtors has been selected as a SIRVA Relocation Preferred Broker for 2013-2014.

New locations

The Science Center gallery at Lindale Mall will move to the lower level of mall, where the current Science Center Education center is located. The locations will be consolidated for the near term.
