Cedar Rapids police are searching for three women accused of purchasing items with a stolen credit card on Thanksgiving Day.

According to authorities, someone stole the credit card out of a vehicle between 12:30 and 2:44 a.m. on Nov. 22 in the 2000 block of Park Avenue SE. Between 2:44 and 3:39 a.m. three women entered several locations, including a Wal-Mart store at 3601 29th Avenue SW and a local CVS Pharmacy, and purchased items with a credit card from the vehicle.

Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said police are unsure who broke into the vehicle, but they know a credit card was taken and used by the females a short time later. Hamblin added that some transactions were denied.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cedar Rapids Police Department at (319) 286-5491 or Linn County Crime Stoppers at (800) 272-7463 or text 5227 and the tip to CRIMES (274637).
