Sign was a perfect display of freedom of speech

Because I live north of Cedar Rapids, I drive Interstate 380 northbound several times a week. Near the Toddville exit on the east side of I-380, someone has always had a homemade sign displaying his/her political opinions. Although I generally did not agree with the opinions posted, I always enjoyed the signs. They were always civil in tone, nonthreatening, and a perfect display of freedom of speech.

Last Thursday as I passed the area, the entire sign, posts and all, was missing. I hope the sign owner was not forced to remove the sign. I applaud the sign owner’s sense of freedom of speech and defend the right to display one’s feelings of right and wrong.
