Ryan Sheldon's first dual win this season was not ordinary.

The Coe sophomore knocked off highly-ranked foe to do it, and achieved it in dramatic fashion.

Sheldon, a former Cedar Rapids Kennedy prep, scored a takedown in the final seconds to score a 3-1 win over University of Dubuque's ninth-rated Logan Einerson on Saturday. The fourth-ranked Kohawks beat the No. 18 Spartans, 27-12, at Eby Fieldhouse in Cedar Rapids.

Einerson was a 2012 NCAA qualifier for Dubuque.

Sheldon improved to 9-7 this season with three pins and a major decision. His career mark is 33-12, including nine pins.

Flegel leads Norse

Senior Trent Flegel remains the lone Norse wrestler listed in the National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III individual rankings Dec. 5.

Flegel is ranked third at 197 pounds, posting an 8-3 record, including two pins and two technical falls, this season. Flegel was a 2012 All-American, placing sixth at the NCAA Division III Championships with a 32-10 record.

He placed fourth at the Luther Open, second at the Augsburg Open and has a 2-0 mark in duals. Flegel, of Alma, Mich., has lost twice to Upper Iowa's NCAA Division II All-American Carl Broghammer.

Luther returns to action Dec. 16, hosting the Gator Duals in New Orleans, La.
