Less than 500 tickets left for Iowa-ISU & other numbers

Iowa-Iowa State basketball could reach sell-out status at Carver-Hawkeye Arena for the first time since 2002.

Less than 500 tickets remain and are located in the arena’s standing-room only section behind student seating.

The arena now officially lists 15,400 at capacity after the recent $47 million renovation. Here are some of the paid attendance figures for Iowa-ISU at Carver-Hawkeye Arena the last 10 seasons:

 

Iowa vs. Iowa State

  • 12-7-12                 (about 15, currently, capacity:  15,400)

Here are some other figures associated with Iowa’s ticket sales this year:

Total season ticket sales has increased year-over-year by 16 percent (604 – 7,765 to 9,000)

  • UI Students:  31 percent  (526 – 1,704 to 2,230)
  • UI Faculty/Staff:  8 percent  (105 – 1,395 to 1,500)
  • General Public:  13 percent  (604 – 4,666 to 5,270)

 

Average attendance per game (through six games) is up 15 percent

  • Last year through six games:                       10,384
  • This year through six games:                       11,981 (plus-1,597)
