No, not THAT Mauer.

Jake Mauer was named skipper of the 2013 Cedar Rapids Kernels, the Kernels and parent Minnesota Twins announced Wednesday. He is the older brother of Twins star Joe Mauer.

Jake Mauer was an infielder in the Twins organization, including a stint in the Midwest League with Quad Cities. The 2013 pitching coach is former major leaguer Gary Lucas and the hitting coach is Tommy Watkins.
